I would add that those of us that fit that description also know how to treat people who thrive politically on cheap-shots and kidney punches, also known as the coin of the realm in Chicago/Cook County Democrat circles.
Happy holidays. We have it best...I'm Catholic and my wife is Jewish. The only holiday that's a problem with our folks is Thansgiving... so we go to a friend's house and don't choose at all!

Lived on the 1400 block of LSD back in the '80s and had a blast there, with beautiful views. Glad you guys got out when you did and congratulations. The wonderful benefits of the city of Chicago, including the lakefront and so many other things, used to outweigh the negatives and that has changed so much in the past decade and a half, especially.
Jeff, you will love being a grandparent. We were lucky to have our 4 year old grandson (another grandson on the way in March). It was a magical Christmas, reminiscent of those we enjoyed with our son when he was little. Watching one’s children as parents is also rewarding.
From the Christmas pageant (with real donkeys and goats) to opening the gifts and Christmas dinner, it was fantastic.
We are a blessed people. Good luck in 2026 and your electoral journey, Jeff.

I'm familiar with your old haunt. My aunt lived at 2970 N Lakeshore. Beautiful area that got a little bit worse each year, unfortunately.
