Most of the pundits I saw on Twitter reacting to Fox News Brett Baier’s Kamala interview were spinning big time. It was far easier as a Republican pundit to spin this interview.
Kamala didn’t do well.
However, Democrat pundits tried to find a few gems inside what was a bad interview. David Plouffe went overboard and said it was an “ambush interview”. That’s when you know it went badly. Harris asked for an interview. She was late to the interview. Her handlers ended the interview early. No ambush. She just didn’t perform well.
I think the few gems in the interview will find their way into ads where Baier’s question is edited and her long-winded and vacuous response is clipped and edited into a soundbite.
I watched CNN coverage post-interview and they were struggling. The NY Times podcaster Lulu Garcia-Navarro resorted to outright lies and was unchecked by the CNN host.
I also watched Harold Ford closely on Fox. He couldn’t make much hay and didn’t have a lot of positive things to say.
Baier and Fox aren’t exactly huge fanboys of Trump. Ask any Trump supporter about Trump’s coverage on Fox News during the 2020 race. The opinion people who have shows on Fox are big cheerleaders, but the show Baier does is not.
Here is what I took from the interview that no one is talking about.
Kamala Harris is annoying.
Everything about her is annoying. Her facial expressions. Her body language. Her diction. The way she answers questions. The way she carries herself.
That’s what I took away from it. If there are truly undecideds out there, I have no idea how they will see their way clear to vote for Harris because of that characteristic.

The following is a Kamala joke I thought of:
Kamala Harris is so dumb.
How dumb is she?
Kamala Harris was so depressed about the presidential race she wanted to end her life. She walked out into her garage, turned on her Tesla and waited.
I find it amazing that she and all her supporters have only one answer to almost any question - Trump's fault. When asked for a reason to vote for Harris, the only answer they give is - she's not Trump. Unfortunately, this works with many people. Scary!!!!!
The Kamala campaign wanted and asked for this interview after Fox had invited both Trump and Kamala for a debate and that did not happen.
The interview was to have originally been an hour.
The Kamala campaign, after agreeing to an hour, changed it to 45 minutes.
After Fox agreed to 45 minutes, the Kamala campaign changed it to 30 minutes.
The interview was to be taped at 4:00 and then the Kamala campaign changed it to 5:00 PM whereafter they arrived 15 minutes late.
Fox needed time to insert commercial breaks to be able to use Brett Baier's time slot.
When the interview started, it was a shit show from the beginning. Baier could have waited her out, but with only 20 minutes, she might have only answered a single question and gone to the Four Corners, so he was a bit emphatic.
Her people called the interview -- it was Kamala's people Baier was referring to when he said there were 4 people waving at him, not Fox persons.
All in all, it was a waste of time and she did herself no good.
It's times like this that you miss Bill O'Reilly and straight answers.
I don't think Kamala does herself any good on these recent interviews as she literally has no answers for questions surrounding the border or Joe Biden's senility. How could she?
I have already voted.
