I am sick of all the Covid drama and misinformation. Frankly, it’s starting to impact my life and I am a bit tired of it all. This year has been pretty nasty for me when it comes to medical stuff.
On January 2, I was misdiagnosed with a terminal illness. For six weeks I thought I was going to die. I went to Mayo and they said I didn’t have it. Every doctor I met prior to going to Mayo wanted me to have Covid. I tested negative every single time.
I went through drug treatment to get better, and it turns out I was highly allergic to the drug. Went into the hospital again and they tested me for Covid again. No Covid. Mayo gave me the all-clear in May and I was good to go.
In the summer at our lake house, no one really wanted to get together due to Covid. I caught a nasty cold up there that stayed with me for three weeks. I came back to Vegas and things were going swimmingly sort of.
Our house is under construction so, I am not living in it nor do I have access to “stuff”. It’s kind of a pain. I unintentionally multiplied the stress by crashing my golf cart. I received 17 stitches, and my rib still hurts.
Five days ago, I woke up feeling like crap.
I took a Covid test. Bingo. Closing out 2021 with Covid. As you might know, Nevada has a very strict mask mandate. Hint: They don’t work. Neither do the vaccines. I am vaccinated. Still got Covid.
CNBC’s Jim Cramer is triple vaxxed. Booster City. He got Omicron.
I have a fever. I have no energy. My sinuses are a bit stuffed. My body aches and I sleep a lot. I am taking all kinds of stuff to try and jump-start my body’s immune system. My oxygen levels are fine. It’s not in my lungs.
We have to be out of this place we are renting on the 22nd and our house is still not done. The burden has fallen on my wife to pack up all the stuff and get ready to go. We won’t be in our house until at least mid-January.
Covid has not only screwed up supply chains. It’s totally screwed up labor markets. Tile setters in Las Vegas are getting a $10k bonus to go to work if they stay with a company for 90 days. My contractor is an ace. He is amazing. But, even he can’t believe the labor troubles his subcontractors are facing. It started with the government paying people not to work. Thank goodness Biden’s idiotic plan didn’t pass. Economist Casey Mulligan tweeted this at me:
Last Christmas sucked because I had been sick since Thanksgiving. I hope I kick this in the next couple of days so I can enjoy the holiday.
The stock market was due for a break and Omicron gave sellers a reason to dominate. The truth is Omicron spreads like wildfire but it’s just a bad cold. It’s not a killer. No reason to sell off so hard but markets will be markets.
It is high time Americans just move on. Covid is over. Protect the elderly, and let it rip. Sweden did the right thing.
I'm the pill to use science in pointing out that all of your problems are a result of you crashing the golf cart. Without such karma, all would be peachy!
Prediction: a year from now, you smell like one hell of a stinking rose. Hang in there!
It's like a builder says about basements: "There are basements that leak and those that don't leak yet." I had it last year and likely will again. Lots of water, zinc, neti pots and vitamins C & D. Slept 14 hours a day for two days. My smell came back in four days as I felt better, yet was still stuck in the basement. I read a lot and got decent at Madden. Get well. It's disruptive now and these restrictions ignore the damage they're doing to the still ailing supply chain, economy and collective psyche.
