If you follow politics, you know one thing for sure. The Democrats have screwed themselves. They proposed many far-left policies and they failed. Their manufactured Covid crisis has finally fallen flat. Biden is the most unpopular president since Jimmy Carter and won’t be running for re-election.
We have higher energy prices due to Biden and the far left Democrats. We have inflation thanks to Covid and the massive government spending. Don’t forget that Senator Rand Paul showed us, Fauci through another agency funded gain of function research in Wuhan and bam, we have Covid. Sure, it’s China’s fault but Fauci has blame as well and he is of the bureaucracy. Our southern border is porous thanks to Biden. Foreign policy is in disarray. As Barack Obama said, “Never underestimate the power of Joe to f*&^ things up.” He certainly has and he put them in a precarious position.
Because Democrats have a centralized system, their party functions a lot like a chessboard. Tip of the hat to John Kass since that is how he describes the moves inside the Illinois Democratic Machine. He’s observant and right. If you aren’t reading him you should. I pay the money to read.
For Democrats, there is a behind-the-scenes battle for the soul of the party between what we might call the Obama faction and the Clinton faction. Hillary is trying to be like the South and rise again. But, she’s too old. She’s got huge unfavorables. She’s out. Obama is winning. The old Clinton guard is old and they are fading away.
The Obama crowd is of the hard left. They believe strongly in socialism and in big centralized government. They want to fundamentally change America from a society based on capitalism and merit to one based on them setting the rules and choosing who wins.
During the last election cycle, they painted themselves into a tight corner. They thought they could get by with Kamela Harris but her popularity is worse than Biden’s and worse than Hillary’s. That’s hard to do!
I am going to tell you how the chess pieces will move in the next year.
When you look at the top of the hill, Biden is out. After the Dems get demolished in the mid-terms, he will be the fall guy. If Republicans are smart, always a huge leap of faith, they don’t impeach the President and they don’t even utter the word.
They wait until the Democrats bring it. They will, but they have to organize first. They need an incumbent to run against what could be a strong Republican field in 2024. Sometime in early 2023, Chuck Schumer will whisper in Mitch McConnell’s ear. McConnell will speak to his caucus and it won’t be a unanimous vote. They have to make it look good.
The House doesn’t matter really. Democrats will vote unanimously to get rid of Sleepy Joe once the deck is set.
If I were a conservative Republican, I wouldn’t vote to impeach. Impeachment is tossed around way too casually these days. The Dems made their bed, let them lie in it. Even if you assume the Democrats stole the election, you still don’t vote to impeach. Biden in the office is better than Biden out of office for Republicans.
After the mid-terms, the Democratic media will try to blame Republicans for all the problems but people are smarter than that. That’s why mask mandates and vaccine mandates went by the wayside for the most part last week. It wasn’t the science, it was the polling and don’t let anyone tell you differently. They have 7-8 months to try and correct things and put it all in the memory hole.
Biden is damaging not only the Democrats but GOPe too. They need to stop the bleeding. Never forget the uniparty works together. They need power to make money and with the average people being inspired by random acts around the globe, they are running scared. It isn’t just the truckers in Canada. There are weekly protests across Europe and other places over Covid.
The first step is getting rid of Kamela. This is tricky. How do they pay her off? An ambassadorship won’t do it. If you see a lot of dirt come out about Kamela that’s the signal they are pressuring her to resign and she will just collect her VP pension. Promised projected speech fees to liberal groups are probably the only way to get rid of her. Some corporate board work. They will figure out a dignified way to have her exit stage left.
Next, new VP.
Whom? The Democratic field is not deep. There are not a lot of good choices. I’ll let you nominate your guesses in the comments but I will cut to the chase.
There is only one that satisfies the social engineering component of the Democratic Party and might appeal to independents who are leaving the Democrats like rats off a sinking ship. Governor Jared Polis of Colorado. He’s gay. He eased his state’s mask mandates ahead of every other Democratic governor. He helped start Techstars. He is talking a lot about “crime-fighting” these days. Colorado is considered a “conservative” state by Democrats. Polis is not dumb and vapid like Pete Buttigieg who is on his way to becoming a talking head on television or a lobbyist. Polis will serve the left-wing when it comes to appointing judges. But, he will return to the strategy of grinding out change one yard at a time.
Polis is your Democratic 2024 nominee, with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar as VP.
God help us if this is the future. I live in Colorado. Polis is a true believer. A total Leftist. Hates oil and gas. Not dumb but not terribly bright. All I can say is OMG. We are doomed.
I agree Kamala is toast. Her lack of knowledge or will to learn is amazing. Biden made the mistake of running on a moderate plank but shifting to the left to appease the progressives, especially in the hiring of his staff in the WH. Just dumb moves and a total miscalculation of what the majority wanted in voting for him. GOP have their own problems. What the RNC did to Cheney and Kinzinger was just Trump trying to exact revenge. Pure stupidity. Divides the party before the midterms. Trump runs in 2024 we elect another Dem to the WH. If GOP is smart they shut up about the lies on the 2020 election and just keep the pressure up on Biden into midterms and they will take both houses....but I doubt the far right of the GOP will let that happen. Trump is poison for the GOP....talk on election rigging and his caustic approach alienating half of the party. As a Republican I am beyond frustrated as the Dems are trying to give us the WH...we just cannot help ourselves.
