I have been watching the dialogue on Israel closely. It’s amazing to me the way people will twist their brain up into knots to try and walk a thin line. They don’t want to be declarative. They want to be like Sara Lee. “Everybody doesn’t like something, but everybody likes Sara Lee.”
The first step in getting rid of bad, evil, people is to call them out. Call them out by name. If you are afraid to take the first step, you cannot take the second. Or, if you do take the second, you won’t take it decisively and evil will still persist when you are done. There is no placating or appeasing evil.
At Harvard, there was a truck going around the campus with people’s names on it who support the terror and slaughter of innocent people. Hedge fund operator Bill Ackman asked for a list of names to be published so they would know who not to hire. Others called this “Islamaphobia”.
It’s not. It is calling out evil. My friend sent me a Norm Macdonald (RIP) tweet.
What terrifies me is if ISIS were to detonate a nuclear device and kill 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash against peaceful Muslims?
Some venture capital bloggers who were once prolific haven’t written a sentence on the evil that happened in Israel. They were fine to opine about Trump, net neutrality, the border, George Floyd, BLM, and other political and social issues. Their Twitter accounts are silent. Their blogs, dead.
Some hid behind blanket statements that had words but meant nothing. Also, donating money might make you feel good but it won’t make the problem go away.
Some say to stop antisemitism but also Islamaphobia. I am sorry, but Congressperson Rashida Tlaib is an evil person. She won’t condemn Hamas without calling for a ceasefire or some other action. She took an oath to defend the US Constitution, yet her actions do not support that oath.
With people like that in our own Congress, it’s hard to fight evil.
Howard Lindzon and I were friends. We had a falling out over Trump. He blocked me on Twitter and we became unattached. Howard saw him as the next “fat Nixon” or second coming of Fascism. Howard might still not like Trump but I think he appreciates his policies towards Israel now. He has been up front and blogging about the horror. As I said on Linked In, his family always has a safe place in my home whenever they need it. We might still disagree about Trump, but combating evil is above that disagreement.
Bari Weiss writes about Jewish people who were traditionally liberal progressives rethinking their position. This has not been the case in my circles. Anecdotally, I see false equivalence. “It’s possible to abhor both sides and the destruction and death they cause.”
No. It’s not at all the same. Beheading babies in the middle of the night is not the same as attacking the enemy that beheaded the babies.
We ought to be able to agree that the people who did the action, the people who support the “river to the sea”, and the people who find a false equivalence are pretty despicable. By the way, if in a perfect terrorist world, each and every person with a drop of Jewish blood is eliminated from the earth, Christians would be next.
Communism and socialism are a different kind of terrorism. They are a terrorism of the human spirit. They are evil. Unfortunately, the same people who support or look the other way when the terrorists act up are the same people who support policies that tear apart individual opportunity, hope, and the human spirit.
This week, I am going to New Orleans to open the last pavilion at the National World War Two Museum. It is the Liberation Pavilion. What a time in human history to open that particular pavilion.
We need to liberate the world from terror, and antisemitism now. We also need to liberate it from communism and socialism.
They crush freedom. They don’t burnish it.
When we invaded Germany and Japan, innocent civilians were killed. Sad. It happened and it was unavoidable for the larger mission. But, German historians doing research on that time say that it was impossible for Germans NOT to know what was going on-even if they didn't support it. They might have been trapped (where do you go?) like the minority of innocent Palestinians are today. They can't go to Egypt or any other Arab state because those countries won't let them in. I don't know why but sure, I feel empathy for them. However, the larger mission is paramount. Eliminating the evil doers from the face of the earth is more important. Other people don't add up the opportunity costs that way but they should.
The unwillingness, which is an appropriate description because everyone has the ability to do so, for so many on the left to be willing to express an opinion based upon a specific incident or policy decision, rather than having to try to be one of the cool kids and agree with everyone else in their so-called friendship group, in a case where there are thousands of people murdered by terrorists who targeted innocent non-combatant civilians, is absolutely disgusting and despicable.
We used to be, at one time, a nation of free thinkers and we have lost that. If we continue to deteriorate in that direction, then our nation will not even be close to being number one and we will not be a safe place or a safe haven for freedom and liberty ever again.
The unwillingness to condemn what is irrefutably subhuman and vicious acts of savagery, while simultaneously calling for restraint on the victim and her response, is mind-bogglingly incompetent and ignorant.
A TRULY PROPORTIONATE, in the most literal definition of the word, response would be if the Israelis were to rape, behead and burn living Palestinians. That will never happen. You see, we value the sanctity of human life and we are fighting against monsters who have no value for human life, they worship death and that seems to be beyond the realm of comprehension for so many crackpot liberals.
To see so many ignorant fools ignoring reality has made me concerned for the first time in my 65 years on this planet that we are witnessing a resurgence of anti-semitism so pronounced, and finally coming out to the surface publicly, as to be the groundswell of support for a second Holocaust and my friends and I will not allow that and will destroy those who attempt to do so.
The insanity of open border policies in so many countries is what has contributed to so many radicals proclaiming to be protesters, when they are nothing more than rioters and vicious criminals and if they are not stopped in their tracks soon, they will gain momentum and much of the Free World will fall, because that is the plan of Ali Khamenei of Iran, who if all you do is just read his social media posts, has been promoting this for decades as the coming of the next Islamic caliphate. Yes, really. If you deny that, you've got your head in the sand, because the guy has been publicly proclaiming it on videos and written messages for multiple years. They are the sponsors of the majority of Islamic extremist terrorist groups around the world and we know that to be fact - there's no conspiracy there; we've proven it!
I urge everyone, be they Jewish, left or right, liberal or conservative, Christian, Sikh, Hindu, moderate Muslim, any other religion or atheist, to vocally and vehemently condemn Hamas and other terrorist groups before it is too late, because I guarantee you with 100% certainty, if you don't, there will come a day when you realize it IS too late, because they have too much momentum and groundswell support which has gone way beyond that, especially on college campuses and many Muslim extremist Nations and groups of people, and too much power and when they come for you the only thing that's going to matter to them is whether you're one of them or not, not which unaffiliated group you may or may not be affiliated with, and your head will roll.
