We closed up our cabins early this year due to an impending grandchild. Minnesota was tough this summer. Hyper buggy. We couldn’t break the cycle of rain. My wife told me there is a lot of rain in the forecast.
We drove 2400 miles in three days. You cannot do that with an electric car. Plus, my pickup truck was loaded. Can’t do that with an electric car either. I love the idea of an electric car for around town, but as an over-the-road car they are impractical at this point.
It was so buggy in June I almost bought a bug zapper for inside the cabin. Thank God for dragonflies. The bugs were still obsequious even after they hatched, only less so.
I was at My Sister’s Place and a young guy sidled up to my wife and me and struck up a conversation. He is a personal trainer in the Twin Cities. During Covid, he started trading. He really likes it. He started to explain to me his style of trading and how you could see buy areas and sell areas. He uses Robinhood as his market interface.
He’s been making money which is always nice when you are trading. Sort of the point of it.
We had a nice conversation about trading. He was camping up on the Gunflint and had to get out of there because of the bugs. Earlier in the summer, I know people that ditched their rentals because of the bugs.
If you met a relatively new trader, what resources would you tell them to access to become a better trader? Please leave your recommendations in the comments below.
I also hauled my maple end tables back. They have to dry out in my garage for a month before I finish them. It was 105 here today so I think that will happen faster than a month! August is pretty beastly in Vegas and we wouldn’t be here except for the impending birth.
You might laugh at the 100+ degree temps here in Las Vegas but there are no bugs. Besides, it’s a dry heat and there are pools here. I’ll try to get a couple of rounds in before our course shuts down for September.
Discipline. Discipline. Discipline.
I like finviz.com. But what the hell do I know, ha. Enjoyed to hear about your trip.
