I don't disagree that they don't always perform as advertised. Of course, the Fed might say, "issue a digital dollar" and no need for stablecoins. Except, the terrible incentives with digital dollars compared to stablecoins make a digital dollar worse.

The Gov will simply prohibit the purchase of titled assets in the United States. All other systems will follow. Nothing lasts forever, as we've seen.
