Two natural disaster events are going to give Trump tailwinds. The first week of the Trump administration has been a flurry. It won’t let up. But, the fires in California and the devastation left behind in North Carolina that Biden slow-walked rehabilitation to will be a godsend to Trump.
No one in government knows more about construction than Trump. In one of his speeches, he said “I love construction.”, and you know he does.
Yesterday, his knowledge base was on full display in Los Angeles. The apparatchiks and the Democrats at all levels of government were fully intent on never letting a crisis go to waste. Slow walking approval. Slow walking permitting. Making sure it was “safe”. All that was a master plan to bleed homeowners out. It was a way to force them to sell their land to developers the technocrats and apparatchiks approved of.
The money would pass from the developer to the homeowner and the technocrats and apparatchiks would receive a kickback in one way or another.
However, they are playing on Trump’s turf. He can school them and yesterday he did.
The radical transparency on platforms like X will give Trump tailwind too.
Here are a few examples from yesterday.
In Chicago, the public school system made a big deal about “resisting” immigration authorities. In fact, it was the Secret Service, and the government people even left them a card. Yet, they still spread the lie.
Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar went on the attack, saying Trump’s executive orders were stopping the Department of Agriculture from spreading information on bird flu. The truth is some career Deep State apparatchik inside the Department of Ag is trying to make Trump look bad by stopping information distribution. The answer isn’t to get rid of those types of people. The answer is to end the Department of Agriculture. As Milton Friedman said, we don’t need it. If you thought crony capitalism and pork barrel spending were mostly in defense, you ought to take a look at Agriculture. It’s the biggest pork barrel in the US government and needs to be killed.
The Center for Disease Control stopped disseminating information too. Why? Same reason.
A cancer researcher took to X to complain that she couldn’t file her research with the National Institute of Health because of Trump. Instead of complaining, is there are private market equivalent? If not, start one. It’s time to build. We don’t need politicized research. Besides, just because she can’t file it today doesn’t mean we won’t find a cure for cancer anytime soon. Hint: We aren’t finding a cure for cancer anytime soon.
It should be clear to anyone with the way Trump’s cabinet nominees are being slow-walked that the Senate is a huge obstruction in the way. They don’t actually want small government. Big government gives them power. McConnell’s vote was a clear signal the Deep State will fight back and hard.
said this on X: Now it’s time for Trump to crush, with extreme prejudice, the entire Mitch McConnell staffer-fundraiser-lobbyist network in D.C. Ban them from all admin jobs and appointments, PNG their clients, and cut them off from all RNC/congressional campaign contracts. Here are the Republican Senators up for election in 2026.
Capito, Shelley Moore (R-WV) Cassidy, Bill (R-LA) Collins, Susan M. (R-ME) Cornyn, John (R-TX) Cotton, Tom (R-AR) Daines, Steve (R-MT) Ernst, Joni (R-IA) Graham, Lindsey (R-SC) Hagerty, Bill (R-TN) Hyde-Smith, Cindy (R-MS) Lummis, Cynthia M. (R-WY) Marshall, Roger (R-KS) McConnell, Mitch (R-KY) Mullin, Markwayne (R-OK) Ricketts, Pete (R-NE) Risch, James E. (R-ID) Rounds, Mike (R-SD) Sullivan, Dan (R-AK) Tillis, Thom (R-NC) Tuberville, Tommy (R-AL)
Today, Republicans who support small, limited government, vastly reduced spending, and strong borders need to announce that they are primarying Cassidy of Louisiana, Cornyn of Texas, Graham of South Carolina, Hagerty of Tennessee, and Tillis of North Carolina.
All of them need to go. You can live with Collins in Maine unless you know a better option. Maine is basically a blue state. The others are red states and we need actual conservatives in them.
Feel free to add your own. The floor is open for suggestions.
As smart people know, the House is up for re-election every two years and there are a lot of people across the country we could get rid of there. In my home state of Nevada, if we had a capable and competent Republican Party, candidates would already have been recruited, or at least being talked to. No more Sam Browns or Jim Marchants or heaven forbid Brian Sandovals. They’d be organizing to run stalwart campaigns in places they could win. There are places they can win. Ask Chuck Muth. Instead, they are too busy patting themselves on the back that they won the state for Trump while losing everything else.
Trump spent his four years in the wilderness preparing, and it is noticeable. He got more done in a week than Biden did in a career. The Republicans have two years. Now is not the time to self-congratulate and sit placidly. It’s time to prepare. It’s time to build.
You can’t win if you don’t prepare to win.
Very good observations Jeffery. Two great comments from the article:
"He got more done in a week than Biden did in a career." and "You can’t win if you don’t prepare to win." I would add that "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity". Let's all hope President Trump stays lucky.
Elon and X and the podcast community will keep all of these RINOs on a short leash, merely by exposing their actions to sunlight. Every time a RINO tries to act against common sense and the will of the people they will be called out, and they will crumble simply because they are all weak people and cannot avoid the sunlight when it’s surrounding them and following them everywhere.
When RINO Joni Ernst, a total sellout to the people of Iowa, started to waffle on Pete Hegseth, Charlie Kirk quickly brought her to heel, like Cesar Millan instantly training an insubordinate dog. X and the podcasters are like a shock collar to the RINOs. Just enjoy the show as the shock collars are triggered.
