The Tucker Carlson interview with Mike Benz is getting publicity on the right wing. The left-wing news agencies haven’t reported it and people on the left continue to bury their heads in the sand.
I don’t think it is a stretch to agree with anyone who says that once you watch the interview, there will be two kinds of citizens. One who sees the world differently and one who sees it with rose-colored, or simply glasses that blind them.
The first thing you hear is “Tucker Carlson is a crank” or a “tool of Putin”. Shoot the messenger….always shoot the messenger and don’t digest the information.
Oh, but wait. Dan Proft did an interview with the same Mike Benz last September. You can read and watch it here. Of course, among the left-wing Dan is a huge crank too but it turns out the things he uncovers and opines about turn out to be true.
The other task you must take upon yourself is to read Michael Shellenberger at
, or and see their reporting on how US government flexed its muscles to interfere with US elections.Again, the left says it doesn’t happen yet when President George Bush instituted the Department of Homeland Security bureaucracy after 9/11, some leftists warned that the “state” would be used to investigate private citizens for political reasons. How right they were, yet today they don’t see it because their team is doing the investigation.
I remember when Obama was running for office. I knew he didn’t support the way the Founders wrote, nor the intent in which they wrote, the Bill of Rights and Constitution. The people who worked for him didn’t believe in individual liberty. They believed in the collective. They believed that the government or some overriding bureaucratic organization could decide better for people than individuals. They embraced the idea of “behavioral economics” and “nudging” because it could move large swatches of people without them realizing it.
I had some information that was damaging to Obama. He lied about his relationship with Bill Ayers. They were close personal friends. It was interesting to be exposed to “Journolist” at the time. Ben Smith was then of Politico, and scooped up the information and ran it back to the Obama campaign to make sure they could do damage control. Funny, when I spoke with Ol Ben he told me he was raised a “Republican” but now was objective. Ben is an extreme partisan Democrat and a person unworthy of your trust. To make a long story short, I hadn’t given my cell phone out to anyone yet the week before the election a reporter from the Washington Post gave me a call to see if we were going to go public with our story. Don’t believe me? Ask Stanley Kurtz.
How did the reporter get my number and what was behind it? Guarantee you it wasn’t innocent. I wish I would have recorded that conversation.
The way the US government actively censors and manipulates the information we see isn’t just for politics favoring one party over another. Covid policy was totally and 100% manipulated.
The State Department and other agencies have controlled this information for years which is why it doesn’t matter which mainstream news organization you listen to, you hear the same story often told with the same headline words.
There are still people who think Covid came from a wet market not a Chinese lab, the vaccine worked, masks worked, and that standing six feet away from one another works. It’s all been debunked by peer-reviewed science and objective evidentiary reporting but since it doesn’t fit their confirmation biases, it’s bunk. Of course, tell that same person that men can have babies and periods and the earth is warming so fast that we are all going to die they buy the theories hook, line, and sinker.
Social media companies have willingly abdicated their independence and let the government tell them what to do. As we have come to find out, social media is extremely powerful in its ability to shape public opinion. I invested in the leaders of the Obama Tech team when they raised money for a startup company due to their expertise.
The reason people are truly scared of artificial intelligence is because of the way it might be used by our government and big corporations to use them. Already, companies like Google are using it to manipulate search to try and form opinions it sees fit, not create objective thought. It’s not hard to think they are doing it in sync with the federal government.
Those same agencies have rigged elections in other countries. Why wouldn’t they do it here?
When I read about the war in Ukraine, how do I know what information is objective or not? When I read about anything where government money is involved, how do I know if it is objective information or not? As Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently said in a speech at Hillsdale College, when the government takes control and power of something, it never gives it back. The use of government agencies to usurp free speech and undermine freedom in the United States has only served to destabilize institutions and give rise to populism and conspiracy theories.
The destabilization plays into the hands of the totalitarian because they need destabilization to institute the programs they want. People desire normalcy and stable societies.
The kangaroo courts that exist today across the United States smack of Soviet-style law and precedent, not Western American jurisprudence. If you think they will stop at just going after Trump, you are in for a shock. The Jacobin mob will use the courts and the power of the government to go after anyone who has a different opinion than them or won’t bend the knee to them while keeping silent. For evidence, look at the litany of cases the government has taken up against Elon Musk since he bought Twitter and began actively advocating for free speech. They are trying to get him to bend the knee.
Government only gets bigger. As Milton Friedman aptly noted, the Department of Energy started back in 1977 was a boondoggle. It should be killed in its entirety. What’s happened since then to American Energy? Has it gotten cheaper, or more expensive? Has it gotten cheaper or more expensive to mine, build, or distribute energy? Why?
What’s the answer? I don’t think this is solved with a scalpel. It is probably better to fire everyone, disband the offending agencies, and start over. Especially the Homeland Security one. All that one needs to do is efficiently check bags and people to make sure no one blows up an airliner. The rest of the anti-terror stuff can be done inside other government agencies.
It will not be long before we will see stories planted all over the country and amplified on social media that if Trump is elected there will be violence all over the US. The bookies have Trump as a prohibitive favorite over Dementia Joe. Betting markets have him slightly favored.
Great post, Jeff. With free speech under attack everywhere and a academia going from liberal to almost 💯 bolshevik in its indoctrination efforts, the center-right thinking people of this country had better fully engage to defeat these weak-minded fools among us. Stat.
You’re speaking truth. But, given all this and what we saw in 2020, why would we assume that anything approaching a real election will take place this year? The polls can say anything they want. It doesn’t matter when hundreds of thousands of votes for the zombie candidate appear overnight in the right strategic locations. Trump is a fighter, but he’s not necessarily a smart one. I’d have more faith in his ability to combat 2020-style shenanigans if he weren’t so clearly constantly on the defensive in the lawfare arena. Face it — Biden (or if he drops dead from dementia, whoever else they pick) is going to “win” the 2024 election, too.
