You have read my mind. I have thought for quite some time that COVID was intentionally released to derail Trump's re-election chances. Many people forget trump was ahead in the polls before COVID and it didn't seem like anything could stop him. I distinctly remember talk about how Democrats just selected biden because they were going to lose anyway. Then came covid. Then came the ongoing BLM riots and the mass use of mail in ballots. I agree 100% that you can't be too cynical.

The joke is on them - as others have pointed out, a Trump re-elected in 2020 would have continued on an unfocused path. Maybe some more tax cuts, but that's about it.

Trump 2024, after his Elba-like exile, is on a mission. He had four years to plan, to assemble a better team, and then had a lot of luck (first person actually saved by turning to look at a PowerPoint slide). And then some censorious septum-pierced hall monitor at Twitter banned the Babylon Bee over a trans joke, which got Elon off the sidelines.

I'd say the "get Trump" cabal really outsmarted themselves, but they really aren't that smart. More of an animal cunning.

My sentiment exactly: “Obama was by far the worst President in US History unless you think Biden is the worst. But maybe it was Wilson or FDR, maybe LBJ, maybe George Bush 2, maybe Andrew Johnson? There are so many choices. We have a great country in spite of the government that was supposed to be of the people and by the people but isn’t. Imagine how much better it could be.”

It is interesting to see how many out of control gov't spending programs soared starting in 2008-2009.

COVID added $2T to the federal budget, which Congress has been impotent to cut...hence the $2T deficit.

I have one word for the entire damn construct--CORRUPT.

(Yes I recognize that there are some decent and well intended people in gov't, but it is a small percentage.)

Andrew Johnson more of a blatant crook selling pardons to Confederate Military Officers.

Obama more subtle, shielded by media, but also a crook. Anyone remember Tony Rezko? Hard working crook and Obama sponsor.

Johnson was the reason we had Jim Crow, and the racial divide for a century after the Civil War.

Great piece. I found Benz 12 months ago as he was highlighting these, and more importantly the Texas oil cartel - the Bush/Cheney Family Nexus - that is profiting from selling LNG to Europe for seven times what they would pay for Russian gas.

Check out his time on Viva Frei's(David Freiheit) podcast regarding which oil companies are at the center of the Ukraine war. It is jaw dropping.

He talks about the LNG business a bit but doesn't mention Bush/Cheney specifically. It is not surprising. Burisima was at the center of it. Bush/Cheney obviously figured if they could grease the Biden's pocket a bit they'd still make out.

In RE: "Worst Presidents List". There should be two separate, distinct lists of "bad" POTUS's.

Let's call one category "Incompetent Boobs, Dithering Fools, etc." The other we can call "Malevolent, Evil, Haters of the Constitution and all the US stands for".

In the first category would be Biden, Johnson A., Carter, and a few others. They were simply fools who had been promoted beyond their level of competence. In Biden's case, that would include his freshman year at U of Delaware.

In the second category would belong Wilson and Obama with a honorable mention going to LBJ. I can't really think of anyone else who deserves the scorn that history should show these two evil monsters. Both communists to their core.

I think FDR belongs on both lists. One would think he was a competent but evil. And you would be right until you read Amity Schlaes masterful work on the Great Depression, "The Forgotten Man". FDR and his lol "brain trust" of economic idiots absolutely did everything wrong to make the depression much more severe and much longer than if they had simply flipped a coin when making decisions about the US economy. They were bumbling fools and idiots.

FDR also had a great deal of contempt for the Constitution and he knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he foisted SS onto our society as a form of "old age insurance" instead of a retirement plan. He wanted the people dependent upon government and he succeeded.

As someone who has probably worked with more universities around the world studying that than anyone who is not a researcher ( and I have stated this publicly and I stand by it) in the next half decade we will tell the truth about it. I am convinced that even though we had multiple coronaviruses more than a decade before SARS CoV2, this version is much more difficult to deal with, because it is a mutated hybrid between naturally occurring and man-made, likely the weaponization version. We know for a fact that it came from the Wuhan lab. It was likely an employee of the lab who was immunocompromised who was exposed to it while removing PPE. Yes, really that simple. Unfortunately this virus has a longer incubation period Then any virus previously associated with epidemics or pandemics. If you believe that I am incorrect, please provide acompanying data to verify that. The more than 3 weeks cover up by the CCP in conjunction with Tedros of WHO while lying to the world about human to human transmission, when the ability to stop an epidemic or pandemic in its tracks is most imperative in the first two weeks, should have been a war crime. The Chinese wanted to level the economic playing field and that was further evidenced by months later allowing more than 5 million native Chinese to travel out of Hubei province during an upsurge to go anywhere in the world other than elsewhere in China.

As someone who has had long covid for 5 years and probably done more work with Hopkins and Yale than any of the others, go ahead and ask the researchers at Carnegie Mellon why they had to stop being one of the premier institutions investigating this in the first year and a half. The blowback from the National Institute of Health(and to a lesser extent, the CDC) and many Democrats will hopefully come to the forefront.

Bottom line is that Barack Obama took the inherent corruption and incompetence prevalent in our government and fed it steroids and Joe Biden was complicit.
