All good ideas. Your key statement: “humans innovate. They always have and they always will if they are given the freedom to do it”. Our current Global Fascist Eugenicist Oligarchy will only allow the freedom to innovate if it redounds to their benefit. They don’t see the flourishing of we, their subjects, as much of a benefit to themselves, hence the depopulation agendas. I am pessimistic now. With the advent of panopticon artificial intelligence, I believe we have entered a new Epoch in world history, which I call the “Neo-feudal Technocratic Dark Age”. Keep your slaves scared, stupid, sick, and poor, and they will never revolt or leave the plantation. This is the globalists’ strategy moving forward. “You will own nothing, and you will be happy.” It’s not just a slogan. It’s a strategy they are in the process of implementing.
A nitpick: Colombia, not the college, might be in a precarious position now that Gustavo Petro, a Marxist, was elected president. He could very well take what was a thriving economy with a flourishing private sector and turn it into Venezuela. Marxists generally F things up real bad.
Also, as the son of immigrants, I totally agree that we need good immigration policy. Open borders hurt everyone, most notably those immigrants who just arrived here legally - if any of those exist anymore.
I don't disagree. That's not a nitpick. Books are static, so he wasn't elected then. The physical qualities that could benefit Colombia are still there but never underestimate the ability of govt to fuck it up.
All of what have written is important and even if most of it is accurate it is still completely IRREVELANT!!! Cuz if the elite class that currently rule most of the West continue to remain in power, we won't have the "freedom to innovate".
There simply doesn't appear to be many folks at all who realize the dangers that we are facing. And, historically, societies/cultures/countries that are in the sort of decadent decline we are in haven't been able to pull out of that decline. They either crumble from within or are conquered from without, or a combination of both.
When you have a ruling class that despises and condescends toward its working class folks, sans a revolution of some kind, we are doomed.
I’m currently reading Zeihan’s first book “The Accidental Super Power”. Like you, I don’t agree with everything, but his linking of geography and demographics is very good. The first part of the book on how we got here and is also a good history lesson.
One good demographic prediction by Zeihan in the book from 2014. Speaking of Russian aggression upon Europe’s eastern borders, he said “Russia’s demographics are so horrid that if it fails to act before 2022, it will lose the capacity to act both militarily and economically”.

I want to add in my agreement with that "key statement".
This sounds like a slightly updated rehash of his first book. I may have just moved down the “pending” list of my reading backlog.
I didn't read his first one. My friend Wiliam recommends this one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1324037040/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_FPY4YFW09K2HM73XCW0Y_0
Just to confirm the link (im using a phone with weird VPN dynamics) is that the Jack Crawford book The Edge of the Plain?

Not that Americans are showing themselves to be all that much better, but what is it with Latinos and voting in commies?
