Obviously you know you are not alone in the lost-friendship department, I lost a couple over Trump and my wife lost several airheaded, superficial “friends” post-2016. Beyond manipulating numbers though, my fear now is that we are well down a path of intentional disregard of the law thanks to the apparent weaponization of the FBI, DOJ and IRS. I don’t see what reverses this.

A word about the Trump Raid.

Why does the FBI storm Mar a Lago before dawn with 30 agents when Donald Trump is at his home in Bedminster and represented by counsel? What is the justification for that level of force and vigor? It's silly.

This seems ham handed and obvious.

Why wasn't this handled amongst the lawyers with a simple search warrant?

Every action today by the Dems and their gov't lackeys -- Russiagate, impeachment, Jan 6 commission, The Raid -- is intended to sully Trump to prevent him from running in 2024. Period.

These attacks are the shtick of a banana pudding despotism.

"Outcomes in America are by far the best in the world."

Sorry, I've put mine and my wife's parents to rest. People have placed "outcomes" over "quality of life". The modern medical system is directed by Big Pharma. Their goal is to drain the elderly of as much cash as possible based solely on the "outcome."

Oh you do know it is a crime and punishable by inflating assets on your loan application. Oh and to get nsurance. plus to falsely under state your assets for tax purposes. A crime that someone has perfected.

So my friend got stiffed by Trump for over $1 million. Not bad it was part of a $5 million contract for his Atlantic City projects. So that was his entire profit. He got his cost. Trump said "SUE ME" I can keep you in court for years!" Yet my friend still voted for him as a lifelong Republican. But this is the way he has done business for his entire life. He gets an orgasm by fucking others.

I am not so sure they can keep all of the balls in the air through early November. They'll have to be either very lucky or smarter than I think they are, and they've already had a very long, very lucky streak. (Admittedly, this may be purely wishful thinking on my part.)

Actions they might take between an election that doesn't go their way and the effective change of the guard do concern me.

What a leader!

Lost 2 Georgia senate seats in 2020. Result is crappy infrastructure bill. Bipartisan corporate welfare for semiconductor manufacturing. Subsidies for above average income people to buy electric cars and Chilean miners. 87,000 more IRS agents. Medicare price "negotiations". Almost "free" insulin for diabetics.

MAGA BS puts what should be a walkover in favor of Rs in doubt. Ds now slightly favored to keep senate. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-election-forecast/senate/

Don the Con is just another citizen (as are all politicians). The US does not have kings. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/do-we-believe-our-own-dogma/

But not everyone is in position to take millions from Saudi Arabia or bury their ex-wife on their golf course.

I'm sorry that you lost a long time friend. Every friend that I'm close enough to delve into polities with has also had the same thing happen, myself included. But not sure if I'm sad over it or not. Part of me is actually thankful as true colors eventually come out, and good to get it over with sooner than later.

I'm surprised that Trump is not in solitary confinement by now. Can't wait to hear what they found that they didn't already know about a couple of years ago. They are very good at nonsensical smear investigations!
