Ha, that was funny too. Slabs are thinner, so there is more work on finishing. Midwest, you just put the slab over the cabinet! The quote to have "smooth" finish on the drywall was $30k. Plus, more time out of the house. Would be A LOT of dust to do it now
We put a "spool" in, and will have hardscape and a BBQ along with a firepit out there. Because there are no bugs to speak of in Vegas, you can open your doors wide open and the indoor room does meld with the outdoor one. I didn't want a "pool" because I don't love pools. But, outdoor spas and a dipping pool are cool. This one has a "wet deck" you lounge in when it's hot. It can also be a "kiddie" pool.
Never liked those thin west coast slabs plus the texture on the walls. Try repairing them. Lot easier with properly finished drywall.

Love the views. Congratulations on the progress.
All about views out here. Different than Chicago!
No doubt. Especially in the suburbs, where I am. At least in the city you can find a place with a rooftop deck or in a high rise with lake views.
Wow, nice progress! 👍👏
Congratulations, looks great
I’m intrigued by what looks to be an indoor/outdoor BBQ space. Am I seeing that correctly?

Looks absolutely lovely! When’s the party?
Ha, this place probably won't be fully done until October.
I can wait… 🤣
