Interestingly, NVDA doesn't like the current draft of the CHIPS bill...the subsidies are just for chip *manufacturers*, and they are strictly a design, marketing, and software house.
The proper way to conduct legislation is to write the laws to make them as *general* as possible, not to write Bills of Attainder or Inverse Bills of Attainder dealing with particular people, companies, industries, or groups of same. In this case, fix the R&D tax credit and stop the depreciation requirement for R&D for *all* businesses, not just chip makers.
I never understood the actual need for a federal Dept. of Education, as all schools are local schools. There is no federal Dept. of Firehouses.
