"Families can now take their yearly stipend of $7k and choose what school they want their child to go to. Traditional, public, private, religious, etc. How do you run a school when the budget is based on parents’ decisions?"

How do you run a grocery store when the budget is based on customers' decisions?

The reply when I brought up school choice to Sen Charles Schumer years ago was "What if an Islamic Fundamentalist set up a school?" I told him I didn't care. Today, he's use "Right Wing Conservative Christian" instead and I still don't care.

Good point. I literally have 4 grocery stores vying for consumer dollars within a mile of my home. While I have my "go to" choice for most shopping, I have no problem seeking out the overall best that meets MY needs. Shouldn't choosing a school to educate your kids allow the same market-driven flexibility? It's not about "the teachers", its about the STUDENTS. And free-market choice to give those students the best opportunities to learn, not be indoctrinated. For the school options failing to attract interest, perhaps THEY need to reassess their priorities and become more viable based upon (free market) consumer demand.

I get Morningstar’s daily update email, and they push ESG almost everyday. It’s sickening.

Regarding slavery, ask any lefty who ended slavery, and they don’t know. When you explain that the West ended slavery, specifically Christian white men, all you’ll get is a blank look from them.

No idea why them and orgs like them highlight woke. Polsky Center sends me stuff every Friday and it's tinged with wokeness and virtue signaling.

Occurrences like these bring to mind John O’Sullivan’s quote:

“All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing”.

Countless examples, like any foundation started by a rich industrialist.

The writer/aviator Antoine de St-Exupery encountered slavery in North Africa in the late 1920s or early 1930s and wrote brilliantly about it...The French Aviators and the Slave:

Everyone who's watched TV for 15 minutes has seen multiple big pharma ads for their latest, greatest drugs. And they also disclose the long list of side effects in small print.

Talk to any care professional, and they will tell you that EVERY drug -- including over the counter herbal supplements -- have side effects.

If you mix and match different drugs, severe problems can result. Many times, the side effects of a single drug are not worth the benefits.

It's the way the world works and not a political stance.

That is until the MRNA vaccinations! God-given perfection, with ZERO downside. They are SAFE and EFFECTIVE. The state sponsored ads proclaim this. It's the only drug in the history of mankind to not have any possible side effects or downside.

Not only that, but vaccinations don't even have to work anymore! My neighbor is a 3 shotter and she just got back from a trip and has covid. I have multiple friends in this situation.

Not only that, you have to take them now even if not at risk for serious illness! Even getting mildly sick with a SARS cold is unacceptable for a child.

These are the new definitions of reality. Talk about a mass psychosis.

In re: Bari Weiss and Glenn Greenwald.

I have listened and read what many of these folks have to say about their coming away from the Left. The problem is, many of them (not all certainly, but most IMO) still fear being labeled an R or a conservative more than they fear the left.

To name a few in addition to Weiss, Alex Berenson and Naomi Wolf go out of their way to say they while they value truth over all else, blah, blah, blah, they are still "good" liberals and wouldn't be caught dead voting for Trump or for any R. They, like most of the Establishment R's, just don't get that we are indeed in an existential fight for the life of Western Civilization.

Until folks realize it is the entire Left that must be opposed, we won't be able to stem the tide.

I predict that when all of this Covid BS is over, most of those who parted with the Left over vax mandates or lockdowns, etc. will go right back to the other side. The number of folks who are ok without having a team is a very small number. The vast majority of folks need the approval of their peers more than they need anything.

Agree-oh how they don't want the R designation!!! I can see not supporting Trump the Man, and some of his policies. But, not supporting the ethos of where Trumpism got its start is wrong. The only people that might follow through on it are Republican.
