I'm daily in shock that Fetter-woman, as he called himself recently, remains ahead of Oz in every major poll held in the state. I'm from Pa. The guy has been a failure his entire life and hasn't contributed anything to society at all. Ever. He has no track record to run on. Yet he leads in polls!! Mastriano, meanwhile, who's running for governor, should be beating Shapiro easily, but as you rightly noted, abortion has become an issue - a major distraction. So who cares that Philly already has had 1,000 car-jackings this year, 322 murders and 1,400 shootings (and they want to take our guns from us. Ha!) Eggs now cost 100 percent more than pre-Biden. Milk is +30 percent; beef is +60 percent, gasoline +61 percent. And instead of teaching kids algebra and geometry, they're teaching them transgenderism and the proper use of pronouns. Yet the right to kill unborn babies is more important to middle-aged white suburban women who can't have babies anymore. Riddle me that.

You're correct about Graham. He is a news hog. Also correct about Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin. If the Wisconsin media actually shined a light on his marxist-fascist-communist views Ron Johnson would be up by 10 points, but Johnson is in a tight race with Johnson up 49-47 over Barnes, which is within the margin for error. https://law.marquette.edu/poll/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/MLSP72ToplinesLV.html

The term"little f*cker" seems disproportionate, he is a senator after all.

You nailed it with 2. These guys want to purge the GOP of Trump and Trump-style politicians. They want to lose, blame Trump, and "get back to normal." Graham is smart enough to know that this intervention was damaging without accomplishing anything useful. He knew what he was doing.

Rush Limbaugh, noting Lindsay's fondness for illegal immigration, used to call him "Grahamnesty". So he's been taking "stupid pills" for a LONG time.

Garbage to the left, garbage to the right. Both parties are putting up illiberal candidates that nobody in their right mind should want to vote for. Mencken was right about voters getting what they want good and hard. https://reason.com/2022/09/13/the-authoritarian-convergence/

A quick defense of Arlen Specter -- no Specter no Justice Thomas. Specter's interrogation of Anita Hill was the turning point, and it almost cost him reelection. In the "year of the woman" five of six senate candidates won election. Only Specter survived. Other than that, yeah, he was a selfish self-serving ego driven politician.

So what's new? The media has been misrepresenting republicans since there were republicans, and maybe before that. It should not surprise anyone and that's why over the years republicans became very good at direct mail and excel at negative campaigning in other forms, even the use of memes online. And that's why it's so important to censor social media, there is even an effort to monitor podcasts. I'm not optimistic about the future.
