I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted apricot brandy, I don’t think so. An interesting component here, not what I would think of going with bourbon. Using Sprite or 7-Up as a sweetener rather than simple syrup is probably an efficient thing to do. It’s more like an old-fashioned than a Manhattan really, with the fruit and the sweetener. Nonetheless, this looks like a promising drink.
Sounds like an excellent cocktail. Looking forward to trying it. Heading south to Sedona tomorrow for a month. Seems it will be kind of cold there too for at least the next week or so.
I don’t drink anymore. But even I, a mere mortal with crappy booze metabolism, can appreciate this recipe and the story that brought it here. Thanks For sharing!
Nor Cal overnights still producing frost past mid-Feb. Global warming is a bitch. Drink up and thanks for sharing.
noticed that...getting pounded with rain too.
Cheers!
Sainte! Prosit! Skol!

Agree on your assessment of old fashioned vs manhattan....sort of like Wisconsin meets Illinois meets Ohio in a glass!

It will be beautiful but cold next week. We can't shake winter here in the southwest this year
