You had to go to your way back machine for the snidely whiplash comment. I agree whole heartedly that Trump is going to win big. I think most sane people are sick of all the derogatory comments made against Trump. He's a Nazi with a Jewish daughter and son in law, hes a fascist hes this and that. The dumbocrates fucked themselves by kowtowing to all the special interest group tranies gays excreta. People are sick of it.

The hoaxes and derogatory language don’t work anymore. That’s how you know that the Dems know they’re in trouble, when all they can bring up in the last two weeks is the tired Hitler comparisons.

The best thing Trump did in his first term was reveal all lies and gaslighting from the media, corporations, and the government. Nobody trusts them anymore, and everyone now knows their M.O. and can spot it instantly.

Trump has more Jewish grandchildren than any reformed Jew.

Fun follow for current ballot counts. He's saying Early FL mail-in leaning R+10, high end odds were no higher than R+8. We shall see.

In my solidly red county in Western NC, there’s only a population of 120k, and the county is bigger than DuPage County. We have only one early voting site, and 21k voted in the first 7 days! They had to reconfigure the streets around the voting site to get people in and out. But it’s a well run operation and I was in and out in 10 minutes. The last Democrat president my county voted for was FDR, and I made sure to check the county’s voting record before I moved here.

Has the general mood in western NC changed since the poor federal Helene response? Will the destruction keep people from voting?

My area still has the Scots-Irish independent streak that goes back to the Revolutionary War era. In fact, there are family names on our Revolutionary War monuments that are still prevalent in the county. The people here know their history. Even though I’m a transplant from Illinois, these are my people. No one is surprised by the poor Federal responses. My county depended on the locals to clean things up, except for the linemen that came from all over the country.

It wouldn’t surprise me if a few people couldn’t make it to vote, but the massive early voting shows that people are more likely to vote because of what they’ve unfortunately seen up close from the Feds after the hurricane. I have seen no criticism of our local officials.

There are some local Congressmen and Senators saying that FEMA doesn’t deserve all the criticism it is getting, but these politicians should take a step and forget about FEMA. They should be asking themselves why citizens everywhere don’t trust the Federal government one bit, and then do something about it. Maybe take a break from all their useless taxing and spending.

Despite the handle, my family still has blood roots in the New River Valley, same family name, after surviving Jamestown. It's a different mindset. Jim Webb's "Born Fightin'" almost captured their ways.

If Trump wins both the EC and the popular vote, the election becomes one of, if not the greatest, political comebacks in US history.

But without R majorities in the House and Senate, it is just a personal victory for Trump and a symbolic victory for the republic. The Rs need to sweep Congress too.

Don’t get cocky. Step on the gas, no brakes!

Vacuous is the kindest word I can think of to describe Harris. She would be the perfect vessel for the unnamed, unelected people who have been making the decisions during Biden's 4 years to continue their remaking of The United States.

Jeff, for your next column return to CHGO and do a piece on the new head of the Chicago Board of Education, a disbarred lawyer who stole from his clients, the Chicago Way. And yes I was born and raised in that town.

The corruption in Chicago runs deep, and at this point probably cannot be reversed without a serious upheaval. Given the make up of the city, I don't see that upheaval.

I make a point to watch CNN and read the NY Times to ensure I do not get caught up in a vacuum. I have never seen that side of the debate so scared. Even my two sons who call themselves independents are voting for Trump. They consume media differently than I do and they laugh at how crazy both sides are in this race. The Chicago son sees the impact of electing a rampant liberal to run the city. As you have heard me say for some time, I cannot stand Trump for all the reasons. But you have to work with the hand you are dealt and we cannot let another 4 years go by like we have just seen with Biden. You are spot on with the Israel/Hamas comment. In spite of Biden the Israelis got rid of known terrorists. As a side note, I spend my time working in the agricultural space and what this administration is doing to that segment is horrible. This administrations supporters want to end all animal production in this country. Their actions speak volumes. Just unbelievable.

Don't discount Sundance at The Last Refuge... He is very connected to Sodom on Potomac. I found him in 2012 when he was the only person reporting the truth on the Trayvon Martin case highlighting the media gaslighting. He gets deep into the weeds at times, but he is like Rush - right 98.6% of the time :-D

Love this one Jeff. As usual, I'm totally in step with you. Sounds too good to be true but hope Republicans don't get complacent. Will they allow you to post this one on FB?? Semi-intelligent Dems and independents need to get off main stream media and listen to reason......and read this one.

Republicans have a way of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, but thus far? All signs point to a real red wave.

The way they snatch defeat is elect a Mitch McConnell acolyte to run the Senate.

Polls cannot take into account cheating. Just looking at the past week and a half alone, between what occurred in Tarrant County, Texas and in Pennsylvania, that likely represents less than 1% of which transpiring as this is being written. Only a few days left and while I am just catching up on your last month's worth of articles, a heck of a lot has transpired and I am more positive about a Trump victory than I've been since this campaign began, but.... Remember, Obama taught them the Chicago way.
